Well, folks it appears that Coal Creek and WATVC are now "seperated", many are predicting a "divorce" within 6-12 months....... I hate to see this, but it seems many saw it coming. CCMMC pulled the Clubs permits, although Exxon, Snack Shack are still selling theirs, (BTW,permits went up again this year as sales tax is being charged).......Club is no longer managing the area or doing trail maintanance.......Not much being explained on the Windrock site about this issue and many are wondering what's really going on. including me........ Are we seeing the beginning of the end of the Coal Creek OHV Area? I sure hope not But I'm being realistic here folks, Coal Creek hasn't had to manage their own property, All they've had to do over the years is rake in all the money while the Club's done all the work and promotion of the area, and I have a bad feeling that when they (CCMMC) see how much work is actually involved in keeping up the trails and keeping TDEC happy along with having to shell out money out of their own pockets that the Club has been spending for maintanance, I'm afraid they'll "pull the plug" and say it's not worth it anymore......... What are yall's honest opinion on this .......Stakk _________________ 2005 Brute Force 750, custom yellow plastic, HMF/jetted, Bighorn's on ITP type 7's, VDI ignition |

I'm quite sure that the trails are not going to be shut down... I do know that WR ATV club has tried their best to do what they could to help with trail developement and maintainance, but due to limited funds and manpower, some changes may have to be made. I've seen many club members, spend countless hours and days working at the mountain, but even just the cost of fuel to get back and fourth to the mountain to work, has made many have to reconsider how much time they can donate. Each round trip I make is 500 miles and that's over a $150 bucks of fuel just for transportation, not including the fuel for my toyz at the mountain. Do two or more trips a month and it really adds up! Yaw be patient, cause I'm sure Windrock will continue to stay open for years to come! Coal Creek is steadily making progress for a premiere campground, resturant, and even a race track for all to enjoy! _________________ SHUT UP & RIDE!... WINDROCK WARRIOR'S RULE! |

The latest is what they both just said. The Windrock ATV club is just another club riding on the mountain just like Team Emerson, The QuadAbusers, or even DaWindrockWarriors!
Coal Creek seems to big dropping a lot of cash on the ATV stuff. T22 is supposed to be their model of what they are going to build. Apparently they have been working some trails. This will hopefully put an end to the gas companies taking over the trails. CC is in much better position to coordinate all the business on the hill.
I just hope that when CC finds out what it tkes to operate an offroad park they dont bail out. _________________ "TIME TO RIDE!!!!!"

Not so much to run.....they already take in tons of cash from riders. I would guess it's biz as usual, take the money and ignore us as much as possible. _________________ 2007 CanAm Outlander 800 Max XT |
